Dear Father Levis, Why is it that Saturday is the day reserved especially for devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary? Why Saturday, as opposed to some other day of the week? Many thanks for your dedication to answering our questions. I learn so much here. Amy

Dear Amy, The Church for centuries selects Saturday for a special devotion to Our Lady. E.g. In the priests' breviary, of Liturgy of the HOUrs, there is a special office dedicated to Mary, called "Memorial to the Blessed Virgin on Saturday". In addition since about 1925, the seer of Fatima taught that Jesus insisted with her on the 5 First Saturdays devoted to Mary, her Rosary, and confession. Fr. Bob Levis r
