What is the "Little Office of the Blessed Virgin"?

Dear Sue, Every priest must recite the Divine Office, the official prayer of the Church, daily. It is a combination of the psalms, hymns, and canticles of the Church. It used to take about one hour for this recitation. An abbreviated version of this official prayer i the "Little office of the BVM", designed for the laity, a shortened version in honor of Mary.
