| The account of Genesis states that Adam and Eve were driven from the sanctuary of the Garden. Adam then knew Eve and they conceived Cain, Abel, and Seth. The first sin was felt in the first generation after Adam, and sin soon filled the world. (CCC 400, 1609.) |
