| Flag on Coffin Question from on 06-02-2007: |
The rubrics for a funeral state before the coffin enters the Church anything on the coffin such as the American flag must be removed and replaced with a white Pall. As the coffin leaves the Church the Flag may be put back on. This is not a statement about the war, it is a statement that the funeral is about the Church and our faith and not the state. |
