Hi-how could someone in clear conscience-especially from a catholic background star in a movie like the golden compass? Even back a few years ago when I was a fallen-away catholic involve in a baptist church would not have even consider that for any amount of money. Just wondering if there is any explanation for this. Nicole Kidman has been quoted as saying she wouldn't be able to do this film, The Golden Compass, if she thought it was anti-Catholic. All I can suppose is that prolonged exposure to the Hollywood mentality dulls the spiritual sensibilities of people in "the business."
