Question from JJ on 12/12/2007:
I have been invited by relatives to attend their church with them on Christmas Eve afternoon. Is this okay to do. I realize I cannot take Communion but would like to join them at their church this one time. Thank you.
Answer by David Gregson on 1/11/2008:
There is no problem in attending non-Catholic services on occasion, but that wouldn't relieve you of the obligation of attending Mass at a Catholic Church on Sundays and other days of obligation, including Christmas.
