Doctorine and Dogma

Dear Fr Levis

Please can you advice what the difference is between the words dogma and doctorine, please i know that the Immaculate Conception is a dogma, but please coudl illistrate another dogma and a couple of doctorines?

Chris, Doctrine is the ordinary teaching of the Church; dogma is doctrine officially defined by Pope or Magisterium. The Assumption and Immacuate Conception are dogmas, devotion of the Rosary is doctrine. Fr. Bob Levis
