What is the proper way to dispose of religious pictures that are worn? I've heard of burying statues, but not sure about pictures, etc.

Any blessed object, when worn and ready to be disposed of, should be burned, or else buried. For religious pictures that were never blessed, there is no instruction, but I would recommend putting them in a bag before putting them in the trash
