Question from Bernadette on 12/12/2007:
I recently came across a pair of rosary beads that were made of dried berries. I was told that they are over one hundred years old. I would like to know the origin of these Franciscan beads as well as how or if I can replace damaged beads and preserve them. I am researching this for a friend and it would mean the world to him if you could give us some answer. Thank you in advance.
Answer by David Gregson on 1/11/2008:
For information on the Franciscan Rosary, see Franciscan Crown Rosary of Our Lady's Joy. But as to how you could get dried berries replaced in your friend's rosary, I'm afraid I don't know.
