John McCain

Question from Larry on 2/5/2008:
Judy this about researching a candidates life and not saying who or who not to Vote for. John McCain is chosen because here to me is a good example of what one can learn about the person you may or may not vote for.To me Character means alot and to me a man who would abandon a wife who was left crippled because of a accident to marry into a strong political family and wealthy buisiness man and thus began there climb to power is scary. Then John McCain has stated in his belief of the use of stem cell's and yet proclaim's he is pro life is to me a oxymoron. Then there is his willingness to lie about his opponets is worrisome. But then he is a politician.....

Dear Larry

Check this out:

On Senator John McCain's website there is a February 5 flyer that is entitled "Catholics for McCain." You can take a look yourself: www.johnmccain.com/downloads/catholics_feb5.pdf

The flyer has endorsements from Senator Sam Brownback, Senator Mel Martinez and Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, who is quoted as follows: "(McCain) has a clear and convincing pro-life record."

On the pro-abortion republicans for Choice website (www.republicansforchoice.com) you will find the following:

"Our first choice, Rudy Giuliani, did not win. He ran a campaign with a risky strat3gy and it didn't work. But our number two choice did win … John McCain. McCaincame in second in a survey of our membership."

The website continues: "And John McCain's election will be a strong message to our enemies … you don't mess with John McCain, he can and will go the distance."
