The topic of a mother giving her life up for her unborn child came up in our 'morality' class here at seminary.
There was an Italian woman doctor, married with a number of children .....with the carrying of her last child she ran into some medical issues; she ultimately gave her life so that the child could be born. (This took place I beleive in the 1960's?)
I actually bought the book of her story for a mother to be.....but cannot remember her name or the book title.
Can you help? I've been all over the web and have come up empty.
