Who Created God
Question from on 07-19-2007:
Dear Dr Geraghty
Please forgive the question, but who created God? If God was not created why did he not need to be created.
I have been asked this question many times but have no sustaining arguement.
Answer by Richard Geraghty on 07-28-2007:
If God had to be created, then he would not be God. The one who created him would have to be God. God has to be the first cause, the uncaused cause. God cannot be caused. He does not even cause himself. He simply always was, is now, and ever will be. All other beings have to have a cause, a beginning, a start.
