Good day to you! Does the church teach about transference of spirit? What does it mean?

Dear Gina,
Before I answer let me ask what you think the term "transference of spirit" means. There are New Age understanding and the traditional understandings. The traditional understand is that the Holy Spirit can infuse the soul with grace so that the Holy Trinity resides in the soul and stays the Holy Trinity while the soul stays a human soul. There is unity in distinction. Things get a lot fuzzier when the New Ages speak of things like this. Often the story ends up that we are god and god is us. That is not the Christian meaning.
