Material Used in Consecrating Eucharist
Question from on 07-02-2007:
If a priest uses a material other than unleavened bread to consecrate the Eucharist (i.e., regular bread, etc.), is the consecration invalid or simply illicit?
Answer by Rev. Mark J. Gantley, JCL on 07-06-2007:
"Regular" bread has ingredients other than wheat in it and would therefore be invalid.
