Dear Father Levis, Are the intellects of the souls in purgatory higher than ours, not just in the knowledge of the divine (e.g. a full understanding of everything that was revealed to man; the ability to see into the souls of mortal men, etc.) but in its full capacity to know everything of the profane (e.g. mathematics, science)? Thank you.

Wayne, No, I doubt that their experience of purging of themselves in Purgatory affects their intellects that much. Surely they know in Faith that they are saved, that this final exam they passed. They surely are happy in spite of their suffering. Fr. Bob Levis
