Kneeling when Receiving Communion

This is the only place I could ask a question because the spirituality bin is full. Is okay to kneel when you receive Communion? My parents say that it is just not right and it holds everyone up, but I think is is necessary, because that is Jesus in front of you.

Dear Nicolas,
The Church does not forbid kneeling so you are ok. But some Pastors object. I suppose that is their prerogative but I' m not sure on this point of canon law.
