Dear Fr. Bob,

I have a question regarding relationships. Does the church have a guideline on age gaps between two people dating? I am 27 and I have come to know a very nice Catholic lady of 36. At this point it is nothing too serious, just going out for ice cream, ect. Would it be wrong to continue a relationship with her? My general purpose for spending time with her is to see whether she could eventually be a candidate for marriage. However I do not want to do anything the church does not approve of.
