Catholic Colleges and Universities
Question from Catholic Mom on 5/6/2008:
Father Bless!
My 16 year old daughter (HS sophomore) is interested in pursuing study in Church History, hoping to be able to teach religion on a Catholic high school level. Do you have any recommendations for FAITHFUL Catholic colleges where she could pursue that goal? BTW, we're Melkite Catholics but the surrounding culture has, for the most part, immersed her in the Western Catholic tradition.

Answer by Fr. Robert J. Levis on 5/6/2008:
DEar Mom, I suggest you contact Patrick Reilly of the Cardinal Newman Society of Washington D.C. Ask him for his booklet on this most important subject, "Choosing A Catholic College". God bless you. Fr. Bob Levis
Catholic University of America is great for Church History. Plus it is near to Holy Transfiguration Melkite Catholic Church in McClean, VA. Christendom College has great history too, and is about an hour from the same Melkite Church.
