Father,

My wife and I are going on Pilgrimage to France.

How are Holy Days and local laws covered for those traveling to another country?

For instance is one bound to follow the law of the country one is in or ones own?

This touches Friday penance, holy days, and perhaps local laws.

Also do you perhaps know if Corpus Christi (on a Thursday) is required in France?

And what the Friday penance is there?

Basically, the person should feel free to follow the law that is easier when traveling (canon 13).

I am sorry that I don't know the particular laws that apply in France.
