Regarding bishops who allow politicians who support abortion to receive communion. When I lived in the Diocese of Corpus Christi about 20 years ago, our wonderful Bishop made it clear that they were not to receive Communion. When these politicians made their support of abortion public, they were excommunicated just as publicly. He didn't mess around.

His name was Bishop Rene Gracida and to this very day he is writing about it and instructing his fellow bishops. Too bad more of them aren't paying attention!
