If I am separated from my husband can I still take the holy eucharist?
Answer by Fr. John Echert on 5/13/2008:

So long as you are not in some situation that would be a mortal sin, such as a second "marriage" or intimate relationship. The separation itself would not preclude the Holy Eucharist, unless you left him without just cause.
