Meal prayers
Question from Ed on 8/7/2008:
Do you know the meal prayer (probably after meal) originated by St. Margaret of Scotland? This prayer was later adopted by the Church. Thank you in advance and blessings to everyone at EWTN.

Ed--
So far as I can tell by my brief research online, St. Margaret's Blessing is not an actual prayer but the practice of offering a toast in thanks to God after the meal (source). In modern times, the more contemporary practice is known as Grace After Meals, rarely done today but a lovely custom for Catholic families.
