Holy water Question from maryatterbury@yahoo.com on 9/27/2007: I'm not catholic, but I enjoy watching The Web of Faith, and it has anwsered alot of my questions about the Catholic faith. But I was wondering about the purpose of blessing a object with holy water? Thank you for taking the time to answer. Answer by Fr. Robert J. Levis on 9/27/2007: Mary, Water is one of God's most common creatures which might be the reason why we Christians are all baptized and blessed with water, including Christ himself.
