non Catholic worship

non Catholic worship
Question from JJ on 7/7/2008:

What is the church's teaching on attending a non Catholic worship sevice? Where do you find the answer? I'm looking in the Catechism and cannot find it.
Answer by Rev. Mark J. Gantley, JCL on 7/10/2008:

Such matters are treated in the Directory for the Application of the Principles and Norms of Ecumenism issued by the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.

The document can be found at the following: http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/chrstuni/documents/rc_pc_chrstuni_ doc_25031993_principles-and-norms-on-ecumenism_en.html

If you have specific questions (e.g., Is it OK to attend a non-Catholic funeral?), I would be glad to answer them.
