forgiveness for wilfull sin
Question from Mike on 5/31/2008:
TEXT DELETED DUE TO SENSITIVITY
Answer by Fr. John Echert on 7/4/2008:
Mike:
All sin must be deliberate, in order for it to be counted as sin against us. There is, however, such a thing as premeditated sin in which one consents to sin with the idea that I can simply seek forgiveness afterward. This does put at greater risk the offer of the grace of repentance, which is not owed to us by God but MAY be given in His mercy. Clearly you have repented and so long as you make a good Confession you are, in fact, forgiven.
God bless,
Father Echert
