the Eucharist

Just as there are the 7 sorrows of Mary, the 7 "words" spoken on the Cross, etc., a recent discussion with our pastor indicated that the number 7 is also related to the Eucharist. How? And to what is he referring? Is this something that is or should be taught in our religion classes?

You would have to ask him what he means. I can only think that: the sacraments are seven, and the Eucharist is the greatest.
