Dear Father, I was wondering if we were allowed to eat meat this past Friday (Marc 14). My friend claims that we were allowed to because of the feast of St. Patrick, but I thought that we were never supposed to eat meat on Fridays, even outside of Lent. Can you please clear this up? Thanks

Nick, Some local Bishops gave permission to eat meat last Friday in celebration of the feast of St. Patrick. Some did not and so the law remained in force. God bless. Fr. Bob Levis
