What do you make of this article from FactCheck.org? They seem to be fairly reliable and non-partison.

It seriously calls into question the 4000 abortions per day statistic reported by pro-life groups.

Here is what we know based on statistics from the Centers for Disease Control:
Total number of abortions in the U.S. since 1973: 48 million + Abortions per year: 1,200,000 Abortions per day: 3,288 Abortions per hour: 137 9 abortions every 4 minutes 1 abortion every 26 seconds
These numbers do NOT include babies killed by abortive birth control nor do they include babies killed in IVF clinics.
